01 — The Studio
Atelier North is a one-person design and development studio in Patna, run by Vishal. The work is delivered with heavy AI augmentation — the kind of tooling that lets a single attentive person produce work that two years ago would have required a four-person team.
The arrangement has a useful clarity: every project is touched by the same hands from discovery to launch, every decision is made by someone who is also accountable for it. There is no project manager between you and the work, no junior assigned to your build, no agency margin paying for an office and a sales team.
What the studio sells, ultimately, is judgement — about what to leave out, which integrations are actually worth the trouble, where to spend the craft-hours and where to use defaults. The websites we build are deliberately sparse, deliberately fast, and deliberately honest about what they are.

A note on this section: many of these projects are demos we built for prospects we've reached out to, not paying clients yet. We mention this because pretending otherwise is the most common lie in design portfolios, and we'd rather you trust us about smaller things so you trust us about larger ones. 04 — How We Work
Week 1
We crawl your existing site, document every page and service, and have a 90-minute conversation with you over WhatsApp or video call. We surface what's working, what's outdated, and what's missing.
Week 2
We design and build the full site. You see a preview link by mid-week. We iterate on feedback over WhatsApp — there are no scheduled review meetings. We ship work daily and you respond when you can.
Week 3
Booking, WhatsApp automation, payment links, Google Business profile, schema markup. Final design polish on the work-in-progress.
Week 4
DNS migration with email-record preservation (your business email keeps working — this is where most agency rebuilds go wrong, and we've thought hard about it). SSL setup. Monitoring activation. A handover document with everything you need to know about your site, in plain language.
05 — Honest Answers
Three reasons. First, AI-augmented workflows collapse the labour-intensive parts of building a site — content rewriting, design system application, image processing, code generation. A 10-page rebuild that would take a freelancer 60-100 hours takes us 12-15. Second, no overhead — no sales team, no office, no project managers between you and the person doing the work. Third, we make our money on the long-term operations partnership, so we don't need any single project to be a windfall.
Vishal, the founder. The same person you're talking to on WhatsApp. This is a deliberately solo studio — you get senior judgement and senior craft on every decision, not a junior assigned by an account manager. AI tools accelerate the work; they don't replace the thinking.
It keeps running normally. We build the new site at a preview URL where you can review it without affecting the live site. Only at the final launch step do we switch DNS to point your domain at the new site. The cutover takes minutes, with zero downtime.
Yes — that's the explicit goal. We preserve every existing URL, every piece of useful content, every schema marker. Where the old structure was problematic, we add 301 redirects so external links and search rankings transfer cleanly. Most clients see ranking improvements within 60 days because the new site is faster and better-structured.
Yes. The retainer is month-to-month with 30 days notice. The website itself is yours — built on standard technology, with all files handed over. You can either keep it running on Cloudflare's free tier (it'll keep working as-is), or hire someone else to maintain it. There is no platform lock-in, no “mandatory annual renewal” trap, and no scenario where we hold your domain hostage. This is the opposite of how cheap ₹3,800 and ₹5,900 packages work in India — those come with hidden ₹1,500–₹3,000 yearly renewals and code that the agency owns, not you.
The Indian web design market is fragmented. The ₹15,000 quote is usually a templated WordPress site with hidden recurring renewals and code you don't own. The ₹3,00,000 quote is usually a customised template behind heavy agency-talk about “UX discovery” and “brand architecture.” Our ₹35,000–55,000 band sits in between for a reason — that's what real custom work for an Indian SMB actually costs in 2026 once you remove the hidden costs at the floor and the agency markup at the ceiling.
